We recently had the pleasure of being asked to capture the gorgeous new care home Windsor Court in Wetherby. Having previously worked in partnership on a range of projects, groundworks specialists Shanco Contracts entrusted us to showcase their work on their latest project by utilising our expertise in both aerial and handheld photo/videography.
Shanco Contracts, based in Wakefield, is a leading provider of specialist groundworks solutions for sectors such as education, healthcare and government ministries across the UK. Continuing their long history of working within the care sector, Shanco were contracted by LNT to deliver a full groundworks package as part of the construction of Windsor Court Care Home.
As well as showcasing details of the works throughout different stages of construction, Shanco were also keen to highlight their 15-year partnership with their client. The objective was to document the transformation of Windsor Court through compelling before-and-after drone footage, highlighting the latest in quality groundworks and externals packages that Shanco has been providing for this particular client for over 15 years.
Coordinating a project like this requires meticulous planning and collaboration with all parties involved. Working closely with Shanco Contracts, Ideal Care Homes, Windsor Court staff and residents, and neighbouring businesses and properties was paramount to ensure seamless execution. Before the shoot, thorough risk assessments were conducted, and we made sure to adhere to health and safety guidelines. Our pilot, fully insured and licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), ensured compliance with regulatory standards throughout the project.
For us, it was important that we captured the quality of Shanco’s work through 48MP photography and 4K videography using our DJI Mavic Air 2. Though they were not directly involved in the project we wanted to share the content with the care home provider and did so free of charge. Here’s what they had to say about it:
